Mary Ann Gittings Mulcahy

Mary Ann Gittings Mulcahy, 81, of Huddleston, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013. She was the wife of the late George James Mulcahy.

Born October 25, 1931 in New Castle, Pa; she was a daughter of the late Reginald Gittings and Martha Elizabeth Howard Gittings. Mary retired with the Fairfax County Water Authority after 20 years.

She is also preceded in death by a brother, John Howard Gittings.

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Martha Ann Hesgard and husband, Bill of Davidsonville, MD; and Maureen F. Norton and husband, William David of Huddleston; three sons: J. Michael Mulcahy and wife, Deborah Ann of Fairfax City, Patrick James Mulcahy and wife, Linda of Maple Valley, WA, Gregory George Mulcahy and wife, Shelly of Hay Market; brother, George Michael Gittings; sister, Martha Viola; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Baugh; grandchildren: Shawn, Jason, Kirk, John Derick, Ashley and her husband, Justin Sherbert, Blake, Casey, Dustin, Jerry, Kevin, Shannon, Katie, Thomas \"T.J.\", Kara Marie, Brandon, Joshua, and Dana; great-grandchildren, Jordon, Tyler, Madison, Chase, D.J., Conner, Piper, and Gabriella, Landon, Nash, Keller, and Elliott.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 13, 2013 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 15353 Moneta Road, Moneta, VA 24121, conducted by Father Salvador Añonuevo. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday. A graveside service will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
