Mary Earline DeWitt Agee, 95, of Bedford, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016. She was the loving wife of the late Melvin Johnson Agee.
Born in Bedford County on September 23, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Wyatt Clevie DeWitt and Mary Elizabeth Watson DeWitt. She is also preceded in death by two sisters: Mattie DeWitt and Victoria Wilkerson and her husband, Elmo; and two brothers and their wives: Garland Watson DeWitt and Clara, and Joseph Owen DeWitt and Josephine.
Earline was a school bus driver for Bedford Co. Schools for 32 years and she was a member of Laurel Grove United Presbyterian Church.
Earline is survived by her son: Wayne Agee and wife, Jennie; grandsons: Kevin Agee and wife, Jessie, and David Agee and wife, Karla; and three great-grandchildren: Kasey Agee, Lindsay Agee and Griffin Agee.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Home with Donnie Glass officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
