Mary Frances Pressley, 82, of Lynchburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. She was the wife of the late Norman "Red" Douglas Pressley.

Mary Frances was born on December 7, 1929, in Richmond, a daughter of the late George Vance and Bessie Moore Black. She was a member of The Kirk in Forest, and was retired from her position as secretary at the Point of Honor in Lynchburg.

Mary Frances's survivors are her two daughters, Brenda Pressley of Madison Heights, and Sharon Massie, of Manteo, NC;  three sisters, Flora Driskill of Lynchburg, and Nell Grey Fortner and Lillian "Teeny" Black, both of Virginia Beach; and four grandchildren Billie McGann, Ben McGann, Maria Robinson and Frances White all of Lynchburg.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, December 1, 2012 in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Kirk, 1517 Thomas Jefferson Rd, Forest, VA 24551, or to the charity of your choice.
