Mary Frances Nichols Rhodes

Mary Frances Nichols Rhodes, 84, of Big Island, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Snyder Nursing Home in Salem. She was born on July 12, 1932, a daughter of the late Charles Jackson Nichols and Eula Florence Goff Nichols. In addition to her parents Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Ermon Wayne Rhodes.

Frances was a member of Big Island Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and reading. She retired after 40 plus years of working at Burlington Industries in Buena Vista.

Frances is survived by her loving daughter, Brenda Wickes and her husband, Dennis; two granddaughters, Talia Jennelle and her husband, Mason and Tonya Conner and her husband, Todd; three great-grandchildren, Peyton Conner, Hannah Conner and Keller Barton.

A funeral service and celebration of Frances’s life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Big Island Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in Big Island Baptist Church Cemetery, Sunset Hill. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service also at the church.
