Mary Glinn Maddox

Mary Glinn Purvis Maddox 64, born January 8, 1957 in Lynchburg, Virginia went to be with her Savior on March 26, 2021.
She was born to the late John Glennon Purvis and the late Sadie Erlene Wright Purvis.
She was preceded by a sister Sharon Woods and a brother, Johnny Purvis.
Mary is survived by her devoted husband, Ronnie Maddox, a brother, James Malford Purvis, children; Adam Staton (Rosa Staton), Daniel Staton (Kami Ashworth), and Sissy Staton (Justin Fitzgerald), 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, who would always make her smile.
Mama won a long battle with cancer on March 26, 2021 and she is now peacefully relaxed. Mama was the most wonderful person who would take in a stranger and feed them with no reserve. Mama always though more else’s needs than her own. We will always miss Mama, but so thankful she is at peace.
A Celebration Service will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Grace Baptist Church, 337 Lakeview Dr. Madison Heights, VA 24572, with Pastor Dan Lee officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall.
Mama you will be missed. We will see you when we get there.
