Mary Kathleen Adams Lunsford
July 18, 1923 — October 23, 2018
Our precious, Kathleen “Bootsie” Lunsford, age 95, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, October 23, 2018. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Lewis Thomasson, Jr., her second husband, Charles P. Lunsford, sister, Jane Lyle, brother, Roscoe Adams, and sons, Frank Lewis Thomasson III, and Bruce Nelson Thomasson.
She is survived by her children, Kathleen Bagby (Tom), Bill Thomasson, Ann Hutchinson (Andrew), daughters in law, Merry Thomasson and Vickie Thomasson. She was a proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren: Frank, Drew, Jack, Matthew, David, Peyton, Graham, Jake, Andy, Ben, Spencer, Kathleen, Meredith and her great granddaughter, Morgan. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Ann Rogers, brother, William Adams, & numerous nieces and nephews.
Bootsie adored her family and especially enjoyed our gatherings and vacations. She loved her incredible friends, playing bridge, reading, and socializing. She never met a stranger & had a great sense of humor. She was one classy lady, wise beyond words & truly a gift to all of us.
She was so blessed to have had exceptional care from the most wonderful people at Brandon Oaks. Every person on the staff truly cared for and loved Bootsie and she felt the same. We want to express special thanks to CNA, Tonya Board and her private caregiver, Cicely Jones. As Bootsie would fondly say, “I Love You, You Love Me, and That`s the Way It`s Gonna Be.”
