Mary Ione Lester Taylor, 63, of Bedford, passed away at home on Thursday, May 11, 2017 with her husband David Alan Taylor by her side.
Born August 23.1953 in Spokane, Washington she was the daughter of the late Earl and Bea Goetz Lester. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Lester
Mary was proud to serve her country as Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bedford Humane Society, 829 Ole Turnpike Drive, Bedford, VA.
