Mary Martin Kinney

Mary Martin Kinney, 56, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at her father\"™s home in Smith Mountain Lake. She was born July 4, 1955 in Highland Falls, NY, a daughter of John Alexander Martin and the late Shirley Marie Timberlake Martin. Mary lived in Cumming, GA for the past 35 years except in the last six months where she moved to her father\"™s home due to illness and was lovingly cared for by her sister, Cindy.

Mary was a communicant of Resurrection Catholic Church, Moneta, VA.

In addition to her father, Mary is survived by a son, Sean Michael Kinney of Cumming, GA; a granddaughter, Gabriella Marie Kinney of Cumming, GA; three brothers, James E. Martin and his daughter, Dallas Martin, Michael J. Martin and his wife, Gwen and Patrick K. Martin all of Hampton, VA; and three sisters, Cindy Martin of Moneta, Susan Coleman and her husband, Curtis of Dawsonville, GA and Barbara Tiernan of Cornersville, TN.

Mary worked in \"in-home\" physical therapy for many years which brought her tremendous joy. She was involved with the Special Olympics through her work and had a special heart for the elderly.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1 PM, Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Resurrection Catholic Church with Deacon Chris Barrett, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Resurrection Catholic Church Cemetery, Moneta, VA.
