Mary Sprouse Fitzgerald

Mary Louise Sprouse Fitzgerald, 87, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Springtree Health & Rehab in Roanoke. Born in Lynchburg, VA on September 2, 1925 a daughter of the late Haywood Sprouse and Mollie Frances Gunter. In aadition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Day; brother, Willie Sprouse a great-grandson, Willie Myers, Jr., and step-father, Russell Pritchett. Mary is survived by her son Thomas \"Tommy\" Stump and his wife, Bonnie; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to, The Masonic Home for Children, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565. A celebration of Mary\"™s life will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.
