Mary” Suzy” Suzanne Lambing, 69, of Roanoke, Virginia passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Walter Compton and Jean Compton.
Suzy was born on August 15, 1953, in Pennsylvania. She attended school at Upper Perkiomen High School, where she played flute and piccolo in the band.
She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 4, 1974, and enjoyed preaching and teaching her hope for the future as stated in the Bible at Psalms 37:34 . She also was a natural born swimmer and enjoyed passing the time with a good mystery book or watching old movies with her husband and family.
Suzy is survived by her husband Jon Lambing, children, Amy Scudder, wife of David Scudder; Kathryn Corns, wife of Joseph Silliman; three step-daughters; grandchildren, Kenneth Corns; Austin Corns; Karissa Corns; Jadon Scudder; Alana Lambing; Anthony Lambing; Adrian Lambing; Kenan Scudder; Cloey Silliman; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Rebecca Compton; Todd Compton; Sharon Avery; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 3495 Belle Avenue Northeast, Roanoke, VA 24012 on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 4:30 .p.m.
