Matilda Rendenbach Barberis

Matilda Rendenbach Barberis, 100, of Melbourne, Fl., and previously of Bedford, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit in Merritt Island, FL. She was the loving wife of 70 years, to the late Louis Emelio Barberis.
Born December 26, 1916 in New York City, she was a daughter of the late, Theodore and Susan Rendenbach. She is also preceded in death by three sisters; Hilda Cross, Charlotte Redenbach, and Susan Urban.
Matilda is survived by her two sons, Robert Louis Barberis and James Louis Barberis; two daughters, Joan Barberis Zullo and husband, Joseph and Susan Barberis Phillips; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Tharp Funeral Home with Father Salvador Añonuevo officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
