Matthew Cleo Hill

Matthew Cleo Hill, 19 of Goodview died Saturday, November 5, 2011 from injuries received in an automobile accident. His grandmother, Betty J. Johnston died in the same accident.

Matthew was born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 28, 1991. He was a graduate of Staunton River High School and an employee of Wal Mart. He will be remembered for his love of life. He is survived by his mother, Lori Johnston Hill of Goodview and his father and mom, Danny Ray Hill, Sr. and Donna of Goodview.

Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Betty Johnston and Walter and Nancy Hill along with his great-grandfather, Gerald Pugh.

In addition to his parents, Matthew is survived by five brothers and sisters, Jessica Morris (Matt) and Brittney Weeks both of Roanoke, Harley Hill of Goodview, Emily Peters (Robert) of Vinton and Danny Hill, Jr. (Nicky) of Bedford; special niece and nephew, Camden and Ashlynn Thrasher of Goodview; his great-grandmother, Bernita Pugh of Vinton; his fiancée, Emerald Bates of Goodview; also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. at Lynn Haven Baptist Church, Vinton, VA.
