Matthew Davis Farmer

Matthew Davis Farmer 18, of Forest passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Richmond, VA on October 1, 1998. He is the son of Stacy C. Minter and David L. Farmer. Matthew loved the outdoors and enjoyed running, fishing and playing softball. He was a senior at Jefferson Forest High School. He also was a member of the JROTC program.

Matthew is survived  by his mother, Stacy C. Minter and her husband, James; his father, David L. Farmer and wife, Crystal; brother, Jeffrey Nelson Farmer; maternal grandparents, James and Ann Wood; paternal grandparents, Larry and Sue Farmer and also numerous other family and friends. Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ronald Nelson Childress.

A service and celebration of Matthew’s life will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Tharp Funeral Chapel in Lynchburg with Pastor Sam Stump officiating.
