Matthew Salvatore Gullitti, 28, of Lynchburg, Virginia, died Friday, October 21, 2016.
Born Tuesday, October 11, 1988 in Lynchburg, Matthew was the son of Keith Gullitti and Cynthia Pletke and her husband, Al Pletke.
In addition to his parents, Matthew is survived by a sister, Lauren Gullitti, of Seattle, Washington, a brother, Jeromy Pletke, of Lynchburg, maternal grandfather, Harry Waldrop, of Lynchburg, and grandparents, Lee and Norma Pletke, of Lynchburg. He is also survived by aunts and uncles Pat Pletke (Phil Dillard), Nancy Pryor (Alan), Holly Main (Doug) and many cousins and his faithful canine companion, Camden.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Margaret Waldrop, his paternal grandfather, Louis Gullitti, and his paternal grandmother, Betty Gullitti.
Matthew had a kind, generous, and loving heart. He enjoyed making furniture from reclaimed wood and loved making and listening to music. Those who knew him, both in passing or those who were lucky enough to call him a friend, all cherished his wonderful spirit. His beautiful soul will continue to live on through everyone he touched.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A celebration of Matthew’s life will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Home with Reverend Debrah Zuercher officiating.
