Mrs. Mattie Pennix, 95, transitioned on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at her residence. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at 12 noon at Tharp Funeral Home Chapel, Lynchburg, Va. with Rev. Dr. Carl B. Hutcherson officiating. Interment will be in the Humbles-Pennix Family Cemetery in Appomattox.
