Maxine Baldwin Trent

Maxine Harriett Baldwin Trent, 99, of Lynchburg, VA, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013. She was the wife of the late Dudley R. Trent.

Mrs. Trent was born Wednesday, July 8, 1914 in Wadsworth, OH, a daughter of the late Homer Baldwin and Katherine Eastman Baldwin.

She was a homemaker, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She attended Timberlake United Methodist Church in Lynchburg and was a member of First Christian Church in Wadsworth, Ohio, where she served as organist for 26 years and taught piano in her home for over 14 years.

She is survived by a daughter: Janice E. Reger and Earl, Forest, VA, and Dr. Dennis R. Trent and Jayne of Birmingham, England; four grandchildren: Kelli Aud and Mike of Fishersville, VA, Lance Bruce and Tracy of Topsail Beach, NC, Nicole Reger of Richmond, VA, and Dawn Martindale and Ken, San Antonio, TX; six great grandchildren: Carson Aud, Landon Aud and Ryan Aud, all of Fishersville, VA, Jake Bruce of Topsail Beach, NC, and Tyler Martindale and Megan Martindale both of San Antonio, TX. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: USAF Captain Alan R. Trent; two brothers: Vance Baldwin and Gordon Baldwin and a sister: Marian Heavilon.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.   A memorial service for Maxine's life will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with Rev. Randal Walton officiating and Rev. Kenneth Burger assisting. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth, Ohio, at a later date.
