Maxine Davis Peters

Maxine Davis Peters, 79, of Lynchburg, went home to be with the Lord with her family by her side on Sunday, January 13, 2013. She was the wife of the late Paul S. Peters.

Maxine was born Monday, June 19, 1933 in Reusens, a daughter of the late Thelbert Davis and the lateThelma Norvell Davis.   She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was retired from Central Virginia Training Center. .

She is survived by a son: Paul B. Peters, a beloved grandson Christopher Knakal both of Lynchburg. a brother: Thelbert (Bert) Davis of Fl.; a sister: Shirley D. Proffitt of Lynchburg, and several nieces and nephews..

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM on Tuesday January 15, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home.. A celebration of Maxine's life will be conducted on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Pastor Jacob Uthup officiating.
