Melinda Cannaday Martin

Melinda Cannaday Martin, 66, of Lynchburg passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Alleghany Health and Rehab. She was born in Lynchburg, VA on May 18, 1957. A daughter of the late Howard Berkley Cannaday and Shirley Ann McFadden Cannaday. In addition to her parents Melinda was preceded in death by her late husband, Michael Ray Martin and two brothers.

Melinda was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother. She adored the time spent with her daughter and was very involved in her granddaughter Morgan’s life. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her time growing up in Lynchburg and previous years in the town of Rustburg. She also loved going for long walks. She was loved by so many and will be missed by all that knew her.

Melinda is survived by her daughter, Courtney Dawn Eanes and her husband, Michael; granddaughter, Morgan Skyler Eanes; brother, Berkley Cannaday; sister, Martha Booker and her husband, Dennis. Also surviving are numerous nieces, other family, and many friends.
