Meribeth Diane Anderson Martin, 53, of Goode, went to be with her Heavenly Father Tuesday, May 10, 2011.  She was the loving wife of Daniel (Dan) Martin for 17 years.

 Born in Lynchburg, June 22, 1957, she was a daughter of Phyllis Ann Anderson and the late Richard Anderson.  Meribeth was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church and a teacher for Campbell County Public Schools for 33 years. She received her Bachelor Degree from Averett College, Danville, VA and her Master\"™s Degree of Education from Lynchburg College.

 In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Richard (Rick) and Lisa Gayle Anderson of Goode; a sister, Lisa Kay Anderson of Campbell County; niece Lesley Barrack of Goode; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Sandy Martin of Spring, TX, and Jim and Ruth Martin of Bellews Creek, NC.

 A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Fort Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Dan Manley and Rev. Jack Barrett officiating.  A memorial service will follow at Lakewood Baptist Church, Evington.

 The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.

 A special thanks to Dr. MacCallum and the staff at the Pearson Cancer Center, Centra Health, Radiology Department, Tomahawk Elementary Teachers and Staff, Campbell County School Systems and the church family at Lakewood Baptist Church.
