Merle Sudzik, 94, died Oct. 25, 2017 in Lynchburg, Va. She is survived by her daughters: Karen Majewski (Allen), and Gail Lubrano (Glenn); her grandchildren: Debra Majewski, Michael Majewski (Angela), Carl Lubrano (Tomoko), and Lisa Lubrano; her great grandchildren Arielle Lubrano, Conor McDermott, Cuinn McDermott, Kenji Lubrano, and Matthew and Emma Majewski.
Merle was the 3rd generation of her family to be born and raised in New Orleans. La. She was “Blown here by hurricane Katrina in 2005”, one of her favorite sayings. Her family will hold a private remembrance for her in New Orleans at a future date. Her ashes will be placed next to her husband Jerome (Jerry) Sudzik and her mother Louise Leingang Schaefer. For those who wish to, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
