Michael Edward Cantrell

Heaven became a little sweeter when Michael Edward Cantrell, 58, of Rustburg went home to be with his Lord & Savior Sunday September 30, 2012. He was the devoted husband of Sharon Reynolds Cantrell for over 34 years.

Mike was born December 30, 1953 in Monroe, MI, a son of Carl Edward Cantrell and Gladys Horn Cantrell of Lynchburg. Mike honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy and was an electrician at Belvac Production Machinery. For many years he attended Clearview Baptist Church and Faith Baptist Church where he served as both a Deacon and Trustee. He also worked for three years at the ministry of No Greater Love Ministries. For those who loved and knew him, we are looking forward to that blessed day when we will see him again.

In addition to his wife and parents, left to cherish his memories are: a brother Gregory Cantrell and wife Rhonda of Gladys, a sister Darlene Clements and husband Danny of Forest, nephews; Toby Rosser and wife Amy of Madison Heights and Preston Cantrell of Gladys, nieces: Hannah and Paige Cantrell both of Gladys, parents-in-law James and Betty Reynolds, sister-in-law Tina Moon and husband Tommy, niece Jessica Roman and husband Stephen, nephew James Moon, and great niece Autumn Taylor Roman all of Rustburg, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his beloved cat \"Dino\".

He was preceded in death by all his grandparents: John Sam Cantrell, Sr. and Mary Jane Cantrell and William \"Bill\" Horn and Della Wagner Horn.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday October 4, 2012 at Clearview Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Mike\"™s Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday October 5, 2012 at Clearview Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Smeltz and Pastor Wayne Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Clearview Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in Mike\"™s memory.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his Belvac Family for their support and prayers.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
