Michael Howard Phillips, 55 of Thaxton, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital in Richmond, Va. He was born July 24, 1960 and graduated from Liberty High School in 1979.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Rose Phillips and is survived by his father, Donald H. Phillips; a sister Audrey Frigiano & husband Ralph of Spring Hill, FL; 3 nieces, five great nieces and nephews and three aunts, Willie Rose Witt of Thaxton, Elsie Rose White of Staunton and Marie Rose Cutshaw of Thaxton.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday May 21, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert J. Sowder officiating. Interment will follow in Peaks Presbyterian Church & Community Cemetery.
