Michael Joseph Mavilia, 30, of Forest died Friday August 30, 2013.
Michael was born in Richmond on June 4, 1983 a son of Steven Michael Mavilia of Forest. Michael was a Jefferson Forest High School graduate and worked as a plastics technician with Tessy Plastics. He was an extremely creative and talented musician, which included playing the piano and drums. He was also a gifted martial artist in the \"Katsuro\" style. He attended both the Blue Ridge Community Church and St. Thomas More Catholic Church. His greatest accomplishments and love of his life was his wife and children.
In addition to his father he is survived by his wife Angela Holland of Lynchburg, his children, Mikayla and Elijah Mavilia and his step-daughter Myah Dalton, uncle Mark Mavilia and his wife Vanessa of Richmond, aunts Lia Gammon and her husband Lee of Midlothian, and Paula Maggi and husband Roger of Wexford, PA, ten cousins: Angela Lackey, Mark, Jr., Frank, and Catherine Mavilia, Nicholas and Allyson Gammon, Zachary, Jacob, Joseph, and Anna Maggi. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph and Evelyn Mavilia.
A Celebration of Michael\"™s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 7, 2013 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
