Michele C. DeMelfi was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandma (to her fur babies) and friend.
She left this world on November 26, 2021. Despite her many battles with medical issues for many years, she showed nothing but strength and courage until the very end.
Michele is survived by her handsome husband of 51 years. Nicholas G. DeMelfi; her two beautiful daughters and loving son-in-law, Debra A. DeMelfi, Nicole J. Bolte, Michael J. Bolte; her caring sister, Elaine Vennard; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She loved being a grandma to her fur babies: Witt (dog), Moose (cat) and Flynn (cat). Her tenacious spirit and loving heart will live on in the hearts and minds of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Michele loved spending time with family and friends, crocheting, crafting jewelry and kicking butt while taking names in Rummikub. Her all-time favorite holiday was Christmas, and she began the family tradition of lighting the Christmas tree on Thanksgiving Day.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg, VA.
