Mildred Callahan Davis
Mildred Callahan Davis, 66, of Lynchburg, VA, died Thursday, June 23, 2011. She was the loving wife of Nealy Clay Davis for 48 years.
Mildred was born November 3, 1944 in Lynchburg, a daughter of late Maynard R. Callahan and Rachel Callahan Rowland of Lynchburg. She was a member of Memorial Christian Church.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her children; Rhonda Mays and husband, Stephen, Michael Wayne Davis, and Renee Franklin and husband Tom, all of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Lisa, Stephanie, Mackie, and Miranda; a sister, Margaret Spano and husband, Tony of Pompano Beach, FL; and a niece, Megan Cornelius and husband, John of Charlotte, NC.
A celebration of Mildred's life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Virgil Knipp and Rev. Sue Knipp officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
