Mildred Driskill Pack

Mildred Driskill Pack, 95, of Rustburg, formerly of Radford, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 22, 2013 with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Herbert Eustis Pack. She was born in Gladys, VA on June 2, 1918, a daughter of the late Wesley C. \"T\" Driskill and the late Eula Carwile Driskill.

Mildred is survived by her two daughters, Bobbie P. Trent and husband, Samuel of Gladys and Jane P. Evans and husband, Rex of Poquoson; three sons, Ronnie Pack and wife, Allene of Rustburg, Donnie Pack and wife, Boo of Roanoke and Sam Pack and wife, Vege of Keysville; thirteen grandchildren, Phil Trent and wife, Wanda and their daughters, Lori and Kristen; John Evans and wife, Shannon and their sons, Cillian and Ciaran; Mary Beth E. McClanahan and husband, Ryan and their children, Avery and Emma; Gretchen Koenig; Eric Koenig and wife, Anne and their son, Asa; Lauren K. Lesniak and husband, John and their sons, Haydyn and Camdyn; Brynn Koenig; Chris Pack and wife, Jin and their children, Izzy and Gemma; Sarah P. Fischer and husband, Max and their children Sabine and Eli; Jacob Pack and wife, Jessica and their daughter, Carter; Elizabeth P. Dawkins and husband, Jamie; Meredith Pack and Kurt and Zack Pack and Kelly. She is also survived by two, sisters, May Driskill and Louise Williams; three brothers, Ed Driskill and wife, Janice, Ben Driskill and wife, Sarah and Wayne Driskill and wife, Carol; two brothers-in-law, Robert Maxey, Sr. and Donald Pack and wife, Margaret and one sister-in-law, Lorraine Pack; a loving and devoted caregiver, Kathy Kappauf and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was predeceased by two grandsons, Brian Trent and Lucas Pack; two sisters, Nell D. Maxey and Dorothy D. Davis; two brothers-in-law, Thomas W. \"Jack\" Williams and Wayland R. Davis.

We feel truly blessed to have had our loving, caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother for so many years. Mother was a wonderful homemaker, cook and seamstress; making most of her children\"™s clothes when they were small. She was a devoted member of New Bethel United Methodist Church, which she truly loved.

Mildred\"™s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2013 at New Bethel United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at New Bethel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Roger Powell. Private interment will take place at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church prior to the memorial service.
