Born January 15, 1918 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Cora Smith and Henry Steinbach, Millie was educated in Scranton public schools.
Survived by son Kenneth Howard Morrow, granddaughter Krista Morrow Boothby, nephew Thomas Gangwer, niece Virginia Fisher, and their families.
Preceded in death by her sister Ruth Steinbach Gangwer; first husband, Howard Morrow; and second husband William Shebilsky.
On August 5, 1939, “Millie” married Howard Morrow and they had a son, “Kenny”. She had fond memories of the years she and Howard worked for the Scranton Chamber of Commerce.
During World War II she was Secretary to the Manager of Scranton Municipal Airport, where some of the Army Air Corps trainees gave her some flying lessons. Cora would take Kenny outside to wave as Millie flew overhead.
After Howard died in 1947, Millie began a career of secretarial and administrative positions, first at Scranton Tobacco Company, followed by Snowdon Funeral Homes.
In 1953 Millie married Bill Shebilsky of nearby Dickson City and moved to New Jersey, ultimately settling in Wayne. Bill was a machinist and Millie did administrative work for Walter Kidde & Co. in Belleville. Millie later worked for the consulting firm of Antonio Orsini and Associates, and ARDE Inc.
Millie and Bill loved to travel, visiting friends and family all over the country. They covered the country from Florida to Maine, from Virginia to California, and from Michigan to Texas, experiencing new places and making new friends. Their international adventures took them to Nova Scotia, Denmark, Sweden, and Mexico.
Millie volunteered to keep herself busy and engaged in her community. She made many friends through her work at the Wayne Public Library, the Women’s Club of Wyckoff, and she volunteered over 15,000 hours across 40 year at the Chilton Hospital.
When Bill passed away on February 26, 2014 in Wayne, Millie decided to move to Lynchburg, Virginia to be near her granddaughter. During the last five years she made many friends at Valley View Retirement Community and going on trips with the Alliance of First Unitarian Church of Lynchburg.
Millie died on the morning of August 20, 2019 at 101 years old.
