Mildred Vines Kurek, 79, of Huddleston passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Kenneth John Kurek.
Born January 28, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Thomas Clayton Vines and Beulah Ward Vines.
In addition to Kenneth, Mildred is survived by her two daughters: Stefanie Lynn Bracey and husband, Steve and Kimberly Dawn Dustin and husband, Joey; grandchildren: Brock, and Paige Bracey and Katie, Molly and Lily Dustin; four sisters and one brother.
Mildred was a member of the Red Hats Society and the New Comers of Bedford County. She was very active in the Wednesday Woman’s group at Resurrection Catholic Church where she was a member.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 12:00 noon with the family receiving friends an hour prior at Resurrection Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Seven Hills Hospice 2250 Murrell Road # 2, Lynchburg, VA 24501 or Parkinson’s Disease Foundation 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509 New York, New York 10018.
