Milton Reed Fore, Jr.
February 1, 1944 — July 22, 2015
Milton Reed Fore, Jr., 71, of Concord, Va. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Gloria Abbott Fore.
He was born in Lynchburg, Va. on February 1, 1944, a son of the late Milton Reed Fore Sr. and the late Gladys McGraw Fore.
He was a member of Park View United Methodist Church. In his early career he was a police officer with the Lynchburg Police Department. Milton retired from Virginia Fibre/Greif Bros. Corp. where he was a maintenance electrician.
In addition to his wife, Milton’s memory will be cherished by his two sons; Milton R. “MR” Fore, III and fiancée Roxane, Aaron Allen Fore; their mother, Kennie Dickson; grandchildren, Davis Reed Fore and Simone Elizabeth Fore; and a large circle of family and friends. He is also survived by his pride and joy, or what he called “Daddy’s girls,” Tinkerbell and Sophie-Marie.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Oldham and the staff at the Pearson Cancer Center for their wonderful care given to him. A special thanks is given to Dr. Hugh Gill and the entire staff of the NICU at Lynchburg General Hospital for the extraordinary care of the entire family during his stay.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, Va.
A celebration of Milton’s life will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg Chapel with the Reverend C. Douglas Pillow officiating.
