Milton Samuel Ridgeway, 71, of Rustburg, VA, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015. He was the husband of Glenda Faye Chambers Ridgeway of 50 years.
Born Friday, December 10, 1943 in Chattanooga, TN, Milton was a son of the late Arthur L. Ridgeway and the late Mozelle Spence Ridgeway.
In addition to his wife, Milton is survived by his son, Milton Brent Ridgeway and his wife, Katherine. His daughter, Angela Holt and her husband, Gary, and three grandchildren: John Landon Holt, Loryn Macay Holt, and Trinity A. Ridgeway.
In addition to his parents, Milton was preceded in death by a brother.
Milton was a detail oriented person who loved God, his wife Glenda and family as well as Liberty University and Thomas Road Baptist Church. Milton was Director of Engineering and Chief Engineer at Liberty Broadcasting Network and W.T.L.U for 32 years until his retirement in 2010. His wit and humor preceded his intelligence and understanding of electronics as well as HAM radio and multimedia. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg. A celebration of Milton’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Thomas Road Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Falwell and Rev. David Heerspink officiating. Interment will follow in Cumbie Memorial Cemetery in Rustburg, VA.
