Mimi Addison

Mimi Addison, aged 39 (plus a few more), of Rustburg, Virginia, passed away on November 13th, 2023. Born on September 28th, 39 years ago, plus a few more, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, she was the cherished and only daughter of the late Jack Hoffman and Mildred Jenkins.

Mimi's passion for life was reflected in her diverse interests. She pursued her education at Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke and Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, studying English.

Mimi's adventurous spirit led her to explore the world, and she found joy in discovering new places. Her love for travel was matched only by her appreciation for good food, with a particular fondness for sweets.

Her love for animals, particularly horses and Labradors (as well as other dogs), was a constant thread throughout her life. In her youth, she was an active member of the Bedford County Hunt Club, showcasing her deep connection to the equestrian community.

Mimi loved music and dancing, infusing her life with rhythm and melody. Her sweet tooth and passion for delectable treats added a touch of indulgence to her adventurous spirit.

Mimi is survived by her devoted husband, Archie McKinney; her children, Virginia Addison and Brannon Addison; and her cherished grandchildren, Branson Addison, Maxwell Szabad, Danzig Addison, and Freya Burns. Her memory is fondly held by numerous friends within the community.

Preceding her in death are her first daughter, Stacia Ann Addison, and her first husband, Cody.

A memorial service to celebrate Mimi's rich and colorful life will be held on November 17th, 2023, starting at 2:00 pm at Tharp Funeral Home, with visitation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St Jude in Mimi's honor.
