Mindy Nicole Schweiger

Mindy Nicole Schweiger, 33, of Lynchburg, died Thurs., Feb. 18, 2010.

Miss Schweiger was born Fri., Sept. 17, 1976 in Portland, OR, a daughter of James Allen \"Jim\" Schweiger and Sharon Bush Schweiger of Forest.  She was a member of Tree of Life Ministries.  She was a servant of God, a minister, motivational speaker, and singing artist, who touched many lives through her ministry and her music.  She enjoyed traveling and loved life to the fullest.

Prior to full time ministry, Mindy attended Liberty University, majoring in youth education, when she was given the opportunity to work on Broadway. Feeling a strong and inevitable calling to Youth and Ministry, Mindy abandoned her opportunities of Broadway life and the secular world to pursue her higher calling. Throughout subsequent years God changed many lives through Mindy\"™s services and concerts in the mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States.

As an extension of her ministry, Mindy\"™s first CD Album release \"" \"Can You Hear Me\" ascended to #1 with the single \"Cry Holy\" on European charts in 2004; her latest CD album release- \"Awakening\" with, \"Trouble Aint\" had charted at #8. Several of her songs from both CDs have been played heavily on European and US nationwide charting radio stations.

The goal of the ministry God had entrusted to Mindy was to change lives for the Glory and Honor of GOD Almighty \"" Him & Him Alone.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandmother, Elma Lee Price, her sister, Shawnya Walker and husband, Bo, her nephew, Jerid Prater, her niece, Maddie Walker, her aunt, Joyce Schweiger, her cousins, Kerry Croby and Keith Schweiger, her special friend and mentor, Gloria \"Mama Glo\" Starling, and many other special friends and family.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Mon., Feb. 22, 2010 at Tree of Life Ministries with Pastor Mike Dodson officiating.
