Mollie Ann Dooley Beard

Mollie Ann Dooley Beard, 74, of Bedford passed away on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at Runk & Pratt’s Forest facility. She was born in Bedford Co. on October 10, 1943. A daughter of the late Wilbert Harris Dooley and Ollie Mae Carter Dooley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Layburn Beard and a sister, Ella Grey Burnett.

Mollie was a very loving and caring woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her son, Robert Todd Beard and his wife, Sylvia; daughter, Beverly Annette McFaden and husband, Beverley; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Abigale Grace Beard, Isabella Adalynn Faith Beard, Robert Wayne Garrett Beard, Aubrey Grayson Isaiah Beard and Lydia Collette Piper Beard; four sisters, Etta Mae Burnett, Edith Jane Dooley, Edna Leigh Burnette and husband, Harvey and Patsy Jean Carter; a very special friend and family member Mary F. Brown; also numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family would like to thank the Dr.’s and staff of the Runk & Pratt Forest Memory Care Facility for their love, care and compassion during the past year. A funeral service and celebration of Mollie’s life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Chapel Bedford with Rev. Earl Ragland officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Tharp in Bedford.
