Monty Leon Wiles
Monty Leon Wiles, 74, of Coleman Falls, VA, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Monty was born in Norton, VA on October 30, 1938, the son of the late Roy Donald Wiles and the late Marion Amy Robinette Wiles.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Brenda Wiles; two daughters, Stacy Wiles-Hudgins and her husband, Ashby, Amy Wiles-Hauser and her husband, Fred; two sons, Christopher Wiles and his wife Monica, and Jonathan Wiles; six grandchildren, Matthew, Chelsea, Michael, Jeffrey, Caleigh and Miranda; a brother, Randall Wiles and his wife, Loretta and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Monty enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing the fiddle.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31, 2012, in the Chapel at Tharp Funeral Home at 11 AM, with the Rev. Samuel Jones and Rev. Raymond Sturgill officiating. Interment will follow at Big Island Cemetery.
