Myrtle Beatrice “Bea” Torr

 

Myrtle Beatrice (\"Bea\") Wright Torr, 94, of Lynchburg, passed away on April 22, 2012.  She was the daughter of the late Luther Carden and the late Alva Wooten Carden.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Wright Trent of Lynchburg; a son, Doyle Wright (Yung) of Greensboro, NC; a granddaughter, Wendy Pribble (Rhonda Eubank) of Lynchburg; a great-grandson, Jacob Pribble of Lynchburg; a sister, Doris Witt of Rustburg, a sister-in-law, Betty Jean Carden of Rustburg, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Chester M. Wright, as well as her second husband, the late Walter T. Torr; two brothers, Bill Carden, and Luther Carden, Jr.;  five sisters, Lillian Tweedy, Juanita Dowdy, Margaret Cyrus,  Jewel Womack, and Edna Burnette.

A private memorial service will take place today at 1:00 pm at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
