Myrtle Holland Burley, 82, of Moneta, died Sunday, May 8, 2016. She was the wife of the late Julian Marcellus Burley.
Born June 29, 1933 in Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Earl Davis Holland and Lena Mae Porter Holland.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one son: Larry Burley; a grandson: Michael Burley; and a brother: Dave Holland.
Myrtle is survived by her son: Marshall and wife, Vickie Burley of Bedford; daughter: Karen and husband, Robert Prescott of Evington; grandchildren: Amy Poindexter of Evington, Chris and wife, Kristie Burley of Bedford, Brian and wife, Angie Perdue of Marion, AR., Tammy and husband, Forsythe Lewis of Eden, N.C.; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews including: Kim Holland and Gregg Holland both of New Jersey, and Yvonne Gonzales of Charlotte, N.C.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford is assisting the family.
