Nancy A. Johnson, 61, of Bedford, died Saturday, June 8, 2013. Born January 6, 1952, a daughter of Eleanor Marie Everingham and the late Benjamin Everingham.
Nancy was a woman of many passions, her family, Christ and love of animals. She was owner/operator of Windy Ridge Kennel and also co-founder of the Bedford Humane Society. She spent 30 years caring for and taking care of all of God\"™s creatures.
She is survived by her children, Kandy Fullilove and Travis Johnson; five grandchildren, Trey Fullilove, Justis Fullilove, Lydia Johnson, Talia Johnson and Jacob Johnson.
There will be no formal service. There will be a service to celebrate her life. Her \"celebration of life service\" will be on June 23, 2013, between 5 PM \"" 8 PM at her residence (Windy Ridge Kennel).
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Angels of Assisi Clinic, 415 Campbell Avenue, SW, Roanoke, VA 24016.
