Nancy Ann Figel, 84, a resident of the Summit Community in Lynchburg, passed away on November 11, 2018. She was preceded in death by her former husband, William “Bill” Figel.
Born in Chicago on November 15, 1933, Nancy is survived by four daughters, Lyn Marie Figel, Sheri Tratnack and her husband, Dan, Merilee Phelps and her husband, Richard, and Lissa Grierson; two grandchildren, Kyle and Dylan Grierson; one step grandson, Kendall Phelps; two brothers, Tom and Michael Kakuska; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nancy’s real estate career spanned 41 years beginning in 1967. She was one of the first female Realtors in Lynchburg. She was affiliated with Ford Garbee, Campbell Davidson, John Stewart Walker, Coldwell Banker Forehand, Re/Max 1st Olympic Realtors, Real Estate 2000, and Gary Foster & Co Realtors.
In addition to being an accomplished tennis and bridge player, Nancy enjoyed Moen Lake in Rhinelander, Wis., the beach, Smith Mountain Lake, gazing at the moon, and spending time with family and friends.
A Celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Re/Max 1st Olympic realtors, 20395 Timberlake Rd., Lynchburg, Va. (corner of Timberlake Rd. & Enterprise Dr.). Friends and family are welcome to stop by between 2 and 4 p.m.
