Nancy Carol Mays
Nancy Carol Mays, age 60, of Lynchburg, died Monday, December 30, 2013 in Lynchburg, born in Farmville on Sunday, November 22, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Mays, Sr. and the late Mattie Evans Mays.
Nancy is survived by her three sisters: Patricia Bomar and husband, Rick of Lynchburg, Edith Seufert of Rustburg, and Lovey Humphreys of Madison Heights; one brother, Lewis Mays, Jr. and his wife, Julia of Gladys; fifteen nieces and nephews, thirty-two great nieces and nephews, and her special friend, \"Little Bit\".
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Lisa Mays Smith.
The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and all other times at her sister\"™s residence 25 Brightside Drive Lynchburg.
A celebration of Nancy\"™s life will be held in Lynchburg at the Tharp Funeral Home chapel on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with the Pastor Lewis Evans officiating. Interment will be at marble Hill Church of God Cemetery in Meherrin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Down Syndrome Society, 666 Broadway, 8th Floor, New York, New York 10012.
