Nancy “Diane†P. Martin, 71, of Lynchburg passed away Monday, August 18, 2014. Born August 27, 1942 in Spartansburg, SC; she was the daughter of the late Joseph Richard Prince and Willodene Weathers Prince.
Diane loved quilting and reading. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Diane is survived by her husband of 53 years, Obediah Allen Martin; children, Sandra Blader and husband, Robert of Fredericksburg, VA, and Jeff Martin and wife, Joyce of Gainesville, VA; grandchildren, Rebecca Blader, Daniel Blader, and Ben Martin; brothers, Joe Richard Prince, Jr. and wife, Merle of Spencer, VA, and Dennis Prince and wife, Jackie of Elon, VA; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the Salvation Army, PO Box 2314, Lynchburg, VA 24505 or to Calvary Baptist Church, 20957 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
A Memorial service will be conducted 11 am, Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Louis Beckwith and Chaplain Wayne Lanham officiating. Family and friends will be received following the service for a visitation and reception in the church fellowship hall.
Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, Lynchburg (434-237-9424) is assisting the family.
