Nancy F. Cook Riley passed away on September 30, 2017, in Lynchburg. She was born to the late James and Queenie Ferguson on July 20, 1935. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her first and second husband, Edward Cook and Raymond Riley; a son, Danny Candler; and a brother, Terry Ferguson.
Nancy is survived by her step children Butch Cook, and Patricia Marshall, both of Lynchburg, Va.; two grandchildren, Caroline Marshall (Steve), of Wisconsin, Eddie Cook (Danielle), of Forest; four great-grandchildren, Kara Marshall, Dean Marshall, Abigail Cook and Jacob Cook; and two special adopted children that were like her own, Delores and Lawrence Daniel of Lynchburg, Va.
The family would like to also express sincere thanks to Heartland Medical Center and Heritage Green Assisted Living.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Dr. Dan Mason officiating.
