Nancy Middleton Ferguson

Nancy Middleton Ferguson, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on April 13, 2024, in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was born on May 22, 1939.
 
Nancy is survived by her son, Jeffrey Ferguson, and spouse, Mark Figuerres of Greensboro, NC; her daughter and best friend, Amy Ferguson of Williamsburg, VA; her grandchildren, Caitlin Ferguson Cash, Claire Ferguson Hare, and Cody Alden Ferguson; as well as her great-grandchildren, Phoebe Hayes, Lyla Hayes, Chloe Hayes, Elijah Cash, Landon Hare, and Benjamin Hare; her sisters, Betty Middleton Hudson, Linda Middleton Ray and a brother, Jack Middleton.
 
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence Lile Ferguson, Jr., and a daughter, Jo Ferguson VanJeune.

Special acknowledgement to Mama’s niece Sherri Wingfield for her constant support, care, love, and devotion throughout times of recent hardship.

Nancy will be remembered for her kindness, grace, and unwavering love for her family. She touched the lives of many with her gentle spirit and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
 
May she rest in peace knowing that she leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever be held close to the hearts of her family and those who knew her.

The family will receive friends at a memorial service, Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 3768 S. Amherst Highway, Madison Heights, VA. A Graveside Service will be conducted at Fort Hill Memorial Park, Friday, April 19, 2024, at 2:00pm.
