Nancy Gayle Torode Speight, 55, of Bedford, went to be with Jesus on Monday, August 4, 2014. She was wife of John Speight.
Born on July 30, 1959 she was the daughter of Richard Torode Sr. and wife Beverly and Barbara Lawhorn and husband Marvin.
Nancy was a member of Bedrock Community Church and was employed at Dollar General Store.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children: Abby White of Bedford, Barrett White of Myrtle Beach, SC, grandchildren; Leilonnie Dooley, and Jaxon White both of Bedford. Brothers; Rick Falwell (Vickie) of Bedford County, Brian Torode (Denise) and their children B.J and Megan of Lynchburg, George Torode and his son Greg of Bedford, Richard Torode Jr. (Ann) and their children: Sam and Marley of Amherst and her devoted friends Kim Hickman and Kimmie Cassidy.
A funeral service will be held Friday, August 8, 2014 at 1:00pm at Tharp Funeral Home Chapel, Lynchburg. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home.
