Nancy Harris Phillips

Nancy Harris Phillips, 76 of Lynchburg, Virginia died on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Lynchburg General Hospital in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Born Sunday, August 15, 1937 in Lynchburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William Harris and the late Alice Dunn Harris. She was the wife of Benjamin Wesley Phillips.

She was a member of Fairview Christian Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Benjamin Scott Phillips and his wife, Lisa; Kendall Lee Phillips and his wife, Sheri; four grandchildren, Tyler Scott Phillips, Brooke Nicole Phillips, Jordan Ashley Phillips, and Connor Lee Phillips, all of Lynchburg; a brother, John Harris, sister, Roberta Doerfler. Nancy is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

She was predeceased by brother, W E Harris, sisters, Lottie Ashworth, Marian Engledove, Eunice Mattox and Frances Hubbell.

A Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday at Heritage Baptist Church located at 219 Breezewood Drive Lynchburg, Virginia 24502 with the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg, VA.
