Nancy Hatter S. Poff

Nancy Hatter Scott Poff, 79, formerly of Lynchburg, died Friday, December 10, 2010, in Fayetteville, NC.  She was twice widowed to the late Leonard Milton Scott and the late Lovern Edward Poff.  Nancy was a life long member of Sandusky Baptist Church. Nancy retired after 15 years as a secretary for the Common Wealth of Virginia of Mined Land Reclamation.

 

Nancy was born on December 10, 1931, in Lynchburg, VA, to the late Thomas Jefferson Hatter and the late Elsie Mae Mansfield Hatter. 

 

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Teresa S. Goode, husband Robert, of Fayetteville, N.C.  Three grandchildren; Jennifer Hutmacher, Jason Goode, and Jeffery Goode.  Five great grandchildren; Abigail Hutmacher, Jacob Hutmacher, Tyler Hutmacher, Kaeden Goode and Jayden Marquez-Goode.  Three stepchildren; Joseph Poff, Linda Wood, Marilyn Meier, all of Washington State, and Sister Barbara Hatter Templeton of Lynchburg.

 

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, 220 Breezewood Dr, Lynchburg, VA, Sunday December 12, 2010.  A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2010 at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
