Nancy Lee Stump, 90, of Lynchburg, died Friday, December 23, 2016. She was the wife of Al Stump for more than 50 years.
Nancy was born on March 31, 1926 in Lynchburg. She was proud to be the second baby ever delivered at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She graduated from E.C. Glass High School and later from James Madison University. She managed Holiday Travel Bureau for many years.
She was an expert bridge player, had an affinity for golf, and was an avid reader. She was loved by many, especially her husband, who will forever remember the light that she brought into his life, as well as the lives of many others.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society or to Westminster Canterbury Foundation.
