Nancy Marcot Anstey

Nancy Anstey, 85, of Lynchburg, VA, died Wednesday, October 05, 2011. She was the wife of the late H. Barton Anstey, for 43 years.

Born Sunday, July 18, 1926, in Montclair, NJ, Nancy was a daughter of the late Abel Marcot. and Concetta Palmeri Marcot.

Nancy is survived by her three daughters; Lois Anstey Colgin, Lt. Col. DVM and her husband, Dean, of Lake Oswego, OR, Carol Anstey Honaker and her husband Harold Lee, of Bedford, and Marie Anstey, of Lynchburg, a son; Paul Barton Anstey, of Rustburg, four grandchildren, Laura Honaker Fusco and her husband, Jim, of Roanoke, VA, Sarah Honaker, of Lynchburg, Selina and Zoe Colgin, of Lake Oswego, OR, a great granddaughter, Sofia Raine Fusco, of Roanoke, VA, two sisters; Mildred Marcot Dean, of Kingsport, NY, and Olga Marcot Testa and her husband, Frank, of West Caldwell, NJ, a sister in-law; Audrey Anstey Magri, of Lynchburg, and a brother in-law; Frederick T. Anstey and his wife, Dell, of Rustburg.

In addition to her beloved husband, and parents, Nancy was preceded in death by three brothers; Guy, Neal, and Michael Marcot, and an infant sister; Santa.

Nancy retired from Imperial Reading, after 47 years\"™ service as an accountant. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her church, Holy Cross and was very proud of her Italian heritage. In her spare time Nancy was a voracious reader. The family would like to thank Dr. Milam, and the excellent staff of MICU and PICU for the loving care and support given to Nancy and her family.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. J. Kenneth Rush officiating. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
