Nancy Shotwell Haga, 85, of Lynchburg, died Friday, May 19, 2017. She was the wife of Harry Vincent Haga.
Born November 20, 1931 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Harry Clark Shotwell and the late Pauline Preston Phipps.
Nancy was a member of Peakland Baptist Church, graduated from E.C. Glass High School as valedictorian and later attended Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa. She graduated from the University of North Carolina and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her son Dr. David S. Haga; two granddaughters, Virginia Leigh Haga and Meredith Haga Fox and husband Forrest Tanner Fox; her sister, Martha S. Hickson; a niece, Ellen Hickson Haga; two nephews, Robert Walker Hickson and Steven Shotwell Hickson.

A private memorial service will be held.
