Nancy Tharpe Adams

Nancy Tharpe Adams, 70, of Bedford passed away Saturday February 16, 2013. She was the loving wife of the late Marshall M. Adams.

 

Nancy was born September 2, 1942 in Lynchburg a daughter of the late Willard B. Tharpe and Sadie Dolan Tharpe. Nancy worked at State Farm Insurance in Charlottesville and was a devoted homemaker. She was also a member of Bedford Baptist Church.

 

She is survived by her son Kevin M. Adams and wife Alison of Bedford, a granddaughter Kayla Michelle Adams of Bedford, two sister-in-laws: Eva A. Middleton and husband George of Forest, and Nancy A. Hudson and husband Carroll of Lynchburg, a brother-in-law Jesse E. Adams and wife Shirley of Amherst, and three aunts: Eva D. Brooks and her husband, Pete of Lynchburg, Frances D. Bryant of Madison Heights and Hazel D. Brooks and her husband, Billy of Shipman, a very special friend, Helen Bates who is like a sister to the family and a host of other family members and friends.

 

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son Jonathan Lee Adams, and one brother Larry W. Tharpe.

 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. tonight Monday February 18, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg. A Celebration of Nancy\"™s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday February 19, 2013 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with Dr. David Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
