On Saturday, December 3, 2016, at the age of 91, Nannie Erma Campbell Goff of Big Island walked through the gates of heaven to hold the hand of her devoted husband, Emmett Goff. They were married for 70 years. Born May 25, 1925 in Nelson County, to the late Lawson and Bethel Angus Campbell. In addition to her husband and parents, Erma was preceded in death by five brothers, Kinkle, Lloyd, George, Howard and Gordon and one sister, Bessie Childress.
Erma was a homemaker and shared her Christian Faith with everyone she came in contact with. She was a member of Chestnut Hill Free Will Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Director, Choir and Mission group member, church treasurer and avid bible reader. She enjoyed making crafts, sewing, quilting and working in her flower gardens.
Erma leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Pearl Wilson Gross (Jake), May Clark Massie (Larry), Faye Whorley (Larry); three sons, Winston Goff (Vicki), Bobby Goff (Irine) and Eddie Goff (Ann); also surviving are 14 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; seven Step Grandchildren and 11 step great-grandchildren; three sisters, Eunice Hawkins, Lovie Phillips and Jean Hudson (Winston); one brother, Mack Campbell (Patricia); and a host of other family and friends.

A celebration of Erma’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Sedalia Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Jones and Rev. Roger Bevins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
